RALEIGH, NC - The AKC
Canine Health Foundation is proud to announce that the organization
continues the tradition of stewardship evidenced by the coveted 4
star rating from Charity Navigator - a nonprofit organization that
works to guide intelligent giving. The organization helps charitable
givers make intelligent giving decisions by evaluating the financial
health of charities.

"The nonprofit sector consists of over one and a half million charities," says Wayne Ferguson, President of the AKC Canine Health
Foundation Board. "The 4 star rating bestowed by Charity Navigator
is awarded to less than a quarter of the charities rated. Our donors
and financial leaders trust us to operate in a fiscally responsible
way and this accolade continues to prove our effectiveness. Our
board is cohesive, our staff is professional, our finances are sound
- we can only imagine how far we can continue to reach as we work to
help dogs live longer, healthier lives."

|
"This exceptional rating from an independent rating source helps
to solidify the confidence our donors place in the organization,"
adds Robert L. Kelly, Treasurer and Founding Director. "Our efforts
to restructure and improve expense control continue to reduce our
overhead tremendously ensuring that we will continue to grow and
thrive. The results will be better, faster, and efficient service to
our dogs and their owners."

significant awards including the "Best in America" Certificate of
Excellence from the Independent Charities of America
